I was once told that it’s impolite to discuss money, religion, and p*lit*cs. I guess this blog may be rather impolite when it comes to the topic of religion (since I sometimes choose to write about it), but on that last subject, I’ll retain my decorum and allow everyone else the pleasure of moaning and groaning about it, though I did vote already.

Just this once, though, I’ll mix religion and p*lit*cs in one post and be done with it:

 “Praise the name of God forever and ever,
      for he has all wisdom and power.
 He controls the course of world events;
      he removes kings and sets up other kings.
   He gives wisdom to the wise
      and knowledge to the scholars.

Daniel 2:20-21 NLT

I’m at the top of my game…

According to this study, “Brain to blame for middle-age slowdown,” the parts of the brain that control motor-control functions begin to decline at age forty. So much for my theory that 50 or 60 is the new 40.

So, thanks to this calculator I’ve found that I have 204 days left until the reversal happens and I begin to lose all that I have gained over the past forty years. Fortunately, the article indicates that cognitive functions take longer to start their decline.

The one benefit of this is that I will no longer need to make excuses for my lack of interest in being a professional athlete.

Our first snow is forecast for today, and I have to drive further up the mountains…
